TEDxVenlo is looking for ideas worth spreading. Ideas that are breaking through borders, change lives and ultimately can change the world. And most importantly ideas that are new! We believe the best ideas come from people who found ways to break through borders between regions, industries, enterprises and through their own borders.

Are you or do you know a potential speaker who has a great idea worth spreading, the ability to break through borders and is a good speaker? Then we are looking for you! We offer you the possibility to be part of the TEDx community as a TEDx speaker, have valuable conversations with our partners, grow as a professional speaker, be authentic, surprising and ground-breaking and ultimately be able to give the Talk of your life at TEDxVenlo!

We offer the possibility to apply for speaking on our TEDx stage. If you think you are or know someone who should be speaking at TEDxVenlo, please fill in the application form.

Below you can find our procedure for curating speakers. Since a TEDx stage is a unique possibility we developed a few steps you need to follow:

• REGISTRATION
• Fill in the application form with your idea worth spreading. You have the possibility to send in your application until the 30th of April 2022. Ideas stay confidential until we invite you to take the next step.
• The persons with the most promising application will be asked to record a video of a maximum of three minutes with a pitch of their idea worth spreading.
• The speakers with the best video pitches will be invited to join the speaker competition, that will take place between the last week of April and the first week of July. The exact dates of the competition rounds will be published here as soon as possible. At this competition, you will pitch your idea live on stage for a TEDx-like audience.
• Beforehand you will be coached professionally, so you will increase your capabilities as an energizing speaker.
• After all speakers have pitched their idea, the audience will pick a winner. Winning the speakers competition doesn’t automatically mean you have a spot on the main stage. The feedback from the audience will be taken into consideration by the curators whom will give the final go or no go.
• During the speaker competition, curating representatives of TEDxVenlo will be present to curate the pitches presented. They will be there to judge all ideas and speakers on the TEDx guidelines, content, English presentation skills and authenticity.
• After the live speakers battles the TEDxVenlo organization will inform you if you are selected as speaker for TEDxVenlo before the first of August.
• All selected speakers will receive coaching and support in optimizing their idea worth spreading and presentation skills up till our main event TEDxVenlo.
