Is it possible to sustain your lifestyle and be consisent? “Yes”, says Nila Patty. She changed her lifestyle and will tell you how you can do the same. Step by step.

Coming from Indonesia where there was a lot of pollution, she initially thought The Netherlands was not polluted at all. However, when taking a closer look, she saw the litter on the ground and the plastic waste.

It is time to change
Because the waste pollution is growing. Research has even found that in 2050 there will be more plastic than fish in the ocean. That is disturbing! So Nila is taking action by reducing her contribution to the plastic soup, and the pollution in The Netherlands.

Now the 26 year- old lives a zero-waste lifestyle. Yes, zero waste. She produces no waste at all. She does not send any waste to landfill or incinerators.

It is not that hard
“You can do the same,” Nila says. “Just do it step by step.” But how to start? And how to hang on?

Nila will explain this during her TEDxVenlo talk. “I realize that it is not possible for everyone to go zero waste in one go. So I will also give tips and tricks on how to reduce your waste. This way you can make a smaller change to help the planet. Because even the small steps matter.”
