TEDxVenlo reflects on a successful launch of TEDx Community

During the TEDxBinnenhof Viewing Party in the Blue Innovation Center in Venlo yesterday, the TEDxVenlo foundation launched its TEDx Community. TEDxVenlo also published its theme ‘Breaking Through Borders’. Approximately 125 guests witnessed multiple speakers and many regional innovations during the event, such as Flora Fluids. The afternoon was closed in an informal way with music from Venlo DJ Sam O Neall.

Breaking Through Borders

TEDxVenlo acknowledges that innovations and renewal primarily takes place between industries and companies. That is why TEDxVenlo has the ambition to break down borders between industries, companies and people. The foundation is specifically looking at the border between the Netherlands and Germany. TEDxVenlo wishes to develop its events around speakers who can show what Breaking Through Borders can achieve, borders in the Euregion and between industries.

Giving innovations from this region a platform

The Venlo region is an area rich in innovations. However, the region is not really known as an innovative region. Together with regional partners TEDxVenlo wants to draw global attention to these innovations. The foundation wishes to contribute to the ambition of attracting more innovative companies and people to this region, and for them to get based here.
